La “Guerra Fría es la designación atribuida al periodo histórico de disputas estratégicas y conflictos indirectos entre los Estados Unidos y la URSS por la hegemonía política, económica y militar del mundo” y abarca el periodo desde la finalización de la segunda guerra mundial en 1945 hasta la extinción de la URSS en 1991. Es claro que la dictadura cubana ha puesto en marcha una estrategia para “recrear la guerra fría”, esto es hacer una nueva guerra fría con la que pueda sobrevivir, siendo nuevamente el principal operador de los enemigos de Estados Unidos en las Américas.

Although Biden was the best choice for defeating Trump, he will win the candidacy for the most votes in the primaries and Sanders may win that fight.

Por ahora Biden encabeza a los aspirantes, pero no basta ese dato. En Estados Unidos se producen cincuenta elecciones diferentes para elegir al candidato y en ellas suelen prevalecer los votantes más radicales. Aunque Biden fuera la mejor opción para derrotar a Trump, ganará la candidatura que más votos obtenga en las primarias y es posible que Sanders gane esa contienda.

President Obama could do no wrong; President Trump can do no right; such is the state of American politics. The realization that Notre Dame could succumb brought down the last thread of national pride. The people of France are now left without the spiritual support of an endurance symbol. From the perspective of a Venezuelan in exile Notre Dame’s fire reminded the continuing tragedy of a country that has gone through destruction one time too many. To see Notre Dame in flames is to go through the sorrow of seeing Venezuela burning once again without been able to predict when the current drama that takes 250 lives on a monthly basis is going to end.
