La receta simple para generar bienestar en una sociedad moderna y compleja podria resumirse en: Menos impuestos, flexibilidad en contratos laborales, infraestructura, sistema educativo, promocion para inversiones privadas, paradigma verde, inversiones para sistema de la salud, autosficiencia en la produccion de alimentos y un gobierno minimo.
Los Estados Unidos no intervendrán militarmente en Venezuela. Una cosa es amagar y otra muy diferente desembarcar tropas. El país tendría que sentirse en peligro y eso hoy no sucede. Le gustaría que Venezuela tuviera un comportamiento democrático y sensato, lo que lo lleva a respaldar a Juan Guaidó, pero difícilmente pase de las sanciones y el apoyo político y diplomático a una guerra abierta para desalojar a Maduro y sus 40 ladrones del poder.

Guatemala truly is a showcase of corporativism. The economy is run by about 15 players who determine market conditions at polo matches. Political parties are organized around the idea that the public treasury is the election bounty. Television radio and movie theatres are monopolized by a single powerful economic group that gets to decide what news is to be spread and what entertainment will prevail in the country. The military is partly penetrated by powerful economic interests and partly by organized crime. Court decisions can be commissioned — should the price be right.

Juan Guaidó está preso. Aún no físicamente de la dictadura castro-chavista. Es más grave, Guaidó es preso del mayor acto de mezquindad que la denominada clase política puede cometer contra un pueblo que sufre crisis humanitaria. Liberar a Guaidó quiere decir permitirle ser Presidente Encargado de inmediato, ayudarlo a formar gobierno de unidad nacional y apoyarlo de verdad dejando de lado la “política de dos caras”.
Nicolás Maduro, el sustituto impuesto por Cuba, se está ahogando por su rapiña, incapacidad y estupidez. Raúl Castro, viejo y cansado, ha nadado para salvarlo, pero, como suele ocurrir, los dos están a punto de asfixiarse en el turbulento remolino postcomunista. La imagen de Venezuela es pésima y está dejando al régimen cubano sin amigos ni salvavidas. La ironía es que conquistaron Venezuela tragándose a Chávez y a Maduro y ahora se han indigestado.
